March 2016 – Spring Baking

As spring is getting closer, we decided that a spring themed bake would be ideal for March.

We believe we have come up with some terrific bakes, perfectly suited to the spring theme, and challenging but not overly so. I think we have managed to get something for everyone into this box, and also introduced our first truly gluten free recipe.

So our March boxes consisted of:

Classic Bake Box

  • Rich chocolate birdcage cake
  • Orange blossom and cardamom brioche
  • Lemon polenta cake (Gluten free)
  • Step by step recipe cards




Mini Bake Box

Our mini bake box for March was our rich chocolate birdcage cake.

The birdcage is made up of 3 layers of chocolate cake, with smooth chocolate frosting between each layer. The cake is then covered with a rich chocolate ganache and finally decorated with the sugarpaste icing and flowers to resemble an elegant birdcage.
